John Krummell | President, CEO
ohn Krummell has been with Advance since 1989 and has grown the company from 5 employees to more than 250. John began his career as Senior Consultant at Andersen Consulting, and was later the President of JBI Industries. John is active in the RMI (Rack Manufacturers Institute) Leadership, and serves as chair of Pallet Rack Safety Committee. John serves on the board of the Long Beach Metro YMCA and has held multiple leadership roles in YPO (Young President's Organization) including chapter chair and manufacturing network chair. He holds a BSIE from USC and an MBA from UCLA.
Jeff Howard | Vice President, Sales
eff joined the Advance Team in 2016 after spending several years as the Sales Leader at Dana Corporation and then 12 years as the Sales Leader at Interlake Material Handling, the largest US rack manufacturer. Jeff coaches youth sports, has held several leadership roles at Aliso Creek Church and is involved in the Compton Initiative. Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics from Denison University.
JP Hoeft | Vice President, Operations
joined Advance in 2015. Prior to joining Advance, JP was Plant Manager for Trane (Ingersoll Rand), fabricating and assembling Iarge Trane Industrial CenTraVac chillers. JP started his career as a manufacturing engineer for Nother Engraving, an automotive tier 1 supplier. He also served as Operations Manager for Orbital-ATK and held several positions in manufacturing and quality, including Plant Manager, and led the implementation of QS-9000 and ISO-9000 quality systems and ERP system conversion. JP earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and later earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. JP is an American Society of Quality (ASQ) certified Six Sigma Black Belt and is OSHA 10 Safety Certified. He has gained extensive training and expertise in Lean Manufacturing over his 25 year career in manufacturing.
Logan Kebeli | Vice President, Engineering
ogan joined Advance in 2018. Logan comes to Advance from Ag Growth International (AGI), a leading manufacturer of grain, feed and fertilizer handling, storage and conditioning equipment, where he was VP of Engineering. During his tenure at AGI, Logan was responsible for bringing more than 20 new products to market. Logan earned his Ph.D and M.Sc in Structural Engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville and his B.Sc in Agricultural Engineering from Ankara University in Turkey. He has certificates in Lean Manufacturing, Lean Product Development, Six-Sigma and Project Management and belongs to ASCE, SEI, ASABE and AISC.
Gail Kelso | VP, Marketing and Engagement
ail joined Advance in 2012 as Marketing Director after spending several years creating business and marketing plans for small businesses. In the beginning of her career, Gail spent 15 years in leadership roles for TRW and Experian, where she managed marketing departments and spearheaded several business process re-engineering initiatives. Gail has volunteered with Taproot, donating professional marketing services to non-profit organizations. Gail has been active in coaching youth sports and is involved with the alumni association for Berkeley Haas. She also spends time volunteer coaching recent college graduates in career planning. Gail holds a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley (Haas) and an MBA from Cal State Long Beach.
John Warren | CFO
ohn joined Advance in 2019. After working in the Operations divisions at Mattel, John led the accounting and finance functions for several manufacturing companies including ConAgra Foods’ Grocery Foods Group Operations Division, Trojan Battery Company and LMC Enterprises. John sits on the Steering Committee for the Los Angeles chapter of the CFO Leadership Council and volunteers as a Lead Mentor at the South Bay Entrepreneurial Center.
John holds a B.A. in Psychology from Framingham State College and an MBA from Boston University.
Chris Assenmacher | President, Advance Storage Automation
hris joined Advance Storage Automation in 2019. Most recently, Chris was the CEO of Carter Control Systems, Inc. (CCS), a national provider of industrial automation solutions and material handling systems for commercial and government customers. He led CCS during a period of transformation that saw the company grow substantially and move into new products, services and markets. His industry expertise includes everything from advanced manufacturing to robotics to software development. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware, and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University. He is currently an active member of the YPO, and serves on several for-profit and non-profit boards.
