Grocery Distribution

From Frozen to Fresh — Keep Grocery Distribution Moving

Advance Storage Products engineers pallet storage systems that handle thousands of SKUs across frozen, fresh, and ambient zones — so store-delivery windows are met, every shift.

Grocery distribution success means flexible slotting for vast assortments, rapid and accurate replenishment, and the durability to handle relentless turnover across multiple temperature environments. Omnichannel pressure and rising e-commerce volumes are only adding complexity.

Decision makers often struggle with:

  • Thousands of SKUs requiring flexible slotting and abundant pick facings

  • Multi-temperature zones — frozen, fresh, and ambient — under one roof

  • Tight store-delivery windows with no tolerance for replenishment delays

  • High inventory turns demanding rapid dock-to-aisle throughput

  • Mixed full-pallet and case-pick operations across the same facility

  • Omnichannel fulfillment pressure from BOPIS, curbside, and home delivery

The ability to adapt quickly is essential to maintaining service levels.

Grocery Distributor Installation

This recent project is finishing up in central CA for a produce distributor. 52,000 pallet positions of mostly 7 and 8 deep drive-in pallet racking along with some selective rack to serve as operating space for order fulfillment.

Product will be stored at -10°F and each pallet capacity is between 2 - 4K pounds. Almost 5,000,000 lbs. of steel in total.

Engineered for Thousands of SKUs, Multiple Temperature Zones, and Relentless Replenishment

Advance designs structural, Fusion, and roll form pallet storage systems built for the complexity, scale, and speed of grocery distribution — maximizing pick facings, supporting multi-temperature layouts, and keeping replenishment on pace with store delivery schedules.

  • Maximum SKU Flexibility Single Selective and Pick Module configurations maximize pick facings and slotting flexibility — supporting vast, fast-changing grocery assortments without layout redesigns.

  • High-Density Storage for High-Volume Pallets Lo-Pro™ Pushback delivers high-density storage for high-volume grocery pallets while preserving front access for rapid replenishment — no lane sacrifice, no speed penalty.

  • Multi-Temperature Zone Engineering Systems engineered to perform across frozen, fresh, and ambient zones in a single facility — with construction types matched to each environment's demands.

  • Faster Case Picking for Split-Case Operations Carton Flow delivers dense, FIFO case-pick faces that accelerate split-case grocery picking and improve order accuracy — supporting both store replenishment and e-commerce fulfillment.

  • Scalable for Omnichannel Growth Layouts and configurations that adapt as fulfillment strategies evolve — from pure store replenishment to BOPIS, curbside, and last-mile delivery operations.
