Food Processing
Racking Engineered for Freshness, Compliance, and High Throughput
Advance Storage Products designs custom pallet storage systems that support strict FIFO rotation, sanitation requirements, and uninterrupted production flow — protecting your brand and your bottom line.
Food processing plants run on freshness, sanitation, and uninterrupted throughput. Inventory turns quickly, wash-down and sanitation zones expose racking to moisture and chemicals, and food-safety and traceability requirements leave no margin for error. Storage must support strict rotation, clean easily, and keep fast-moving production lines fed — without creating bottlenecks or compliance gaps.
Decision makers frequently face challenges such as:
Wash-down and sanitation zones requiring durable, corrosion-resistant racking
Strict FIFO rotation requirements to protect shelf life and product freshness
FDA, USDA, SQF, GFSI, and HACCP compliance with no room for deviation
High inventory turnover demanding quick, reliable pallet access at all times
Layouts that clearly separate raw, in-process, and finished goods zones
Storage systems that can't keep pace with production line throughput
Any breakdown in material flow can directly affect uptime and output.
Food Processor Installation
This customer makes prepackaged frozen meals and needed expanded storage for their manufacturing capabilities. Our team installed over 11,000 pallet positions of selective, double deep reach and drive-in racking into a large cooler to keep the frozen food stored. This mix of structural racking will provide the selectivity to support high turnover, high SKU stock count and quick product accessibility.
We added another 4,500 pallet positions of dry storage for non-refrigerated product, 4,100 positions of painted drive-in racking, and a few hundred more selective pallet positions. These ambient storage areas will help support the flow of non-perishable SKUs in the distribution facility.
Engineered for Clean Environments, High Turnover, and Zero Compliance Risk
Advance designs structural, Fusion, and roll form pallet storage systems built for the demanding conditions of food processing facilities — durable enough to survive wash-down cycles, precise enough to support food safety compliance, and fast enough to keep production lines moving without bottlenecks.
Wash-Down Durable Construction Structural and Fusion systems withstand moisture, chemical exposure, and sanitation cycles without compromising structural integrity or safety ratings.
FIFO Rotation Built Into the System Pallet Flow configurations deliver automatic first-in-first-out rotation — protecting shelf life and freshness without depending on operator discipline.
Sanitation-Friendly Layout Design Open, accessible configurations like Single Selective support easy cleaning around each pallet position — no blind corners, no contamination traps.
Fast Bolt-In Repairs That Don't Stop the Line Fusion's bolted upright design means damaged components swap in minutes without welding — minimizing maintenance downtime in active processing environments.
Compliance-Ready Engineering Every system is engineered to RMI standards with P.E.-stamped calculations to current IBC and seismic codes — supporting audit documentation and facility compliance programs.
-
The strongest, most durable rack available — repairable on-site with no downtime, P.E.-stamped to RMI and IBC standards.
Value for Food Processing: survives wash-down, chemical exposure, and constant rotation without failure.
-
Cost-effective, adjustable, and integration-ready — zinc-coated finishes resist scrapes and rust creep.
Value for Food Processing: easy-clean surfaces and a clear path to automated storage integration.
-
Structural steel at high-impact points, roll form everywhere else — damaged components swap in minutes, not hours.
Value for Food Processing: fast bolt-in repairs keep production lines running without extended downtime.
-
Semi-automatic deep-lane shuttle with real-time monitoring, storing 30+ pallets per lane.
Value for Food Processing: buffers high-volume production output without adding headcount or forklift congestion.
