MHI MHEM Market Forecast
Still good news:
–Revised quarterly forecast: material handling equipment shipments grew 7.8% in 2013 and are forecasted to grow 4.5 to 5.0% in 2014 and 9.0 to 10.0% in 2015. –Domestic demand (shipments plus imports less exports) grew 8.6% in 2013 and are forecast to grow just over 7.0% in 2014 and 10.0% in 2015.
ADVANCE OPENS NEW PLANT IN SALT LAKE CITY
Advance has opened a new manufacturing plant in Salt Lake City. The 65,000 square foot facility houses manufacturing for Advance’s pushback and structural rack systems. The new plant will increase manufacturing capacity significantly and will facilitate more efficient delivery to customers nationwide.
Under the leadership of Plant Manager Tim Schulz, the new plant will employ 40 people by the end of the year.
