Advance Storage Products is seeking a self-starting project manager to join our team!  The Project Manager will hold primary responsibility for ensuring that projects are managed efficiently and effectively, including managing schedule, budget, safety, and quality and customer satisfaction.  The Project Manager will oversee the project from kick-off until final walk-thru and sign-off with the customer (including final payments).  The primary goal is to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget, while meeting all of our customers’ expectations.  He/She will collaborate with Sales, Sales Admins, Engineering, Accounting and the Operations teams as necessary.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure proper hand-off from Estimator, and ability to fully understand the scope and specifications of project
  • Review and complete all required documents to define the project (site conditions, financials, permitting and licenses, special requirements)
  • Conduct project kickoff meeting with Advance team within 2 days of the order being awarded. Take notes, record action items and follow up
  • Establish the Installation Schedule for the project. Coordinate with the plant and the customer. Maintain the installation schedule in CSI
  • Place Buyout Purchase Orders for materials Advance is buying from our vendors. Coordinate delivery and installation
  • Visit the site as required, including a job startup and subsequent visits every 2 weeks while the installation is progressing. Monitor material flow, installer progress and installation quality
  • Complete final walk through and sign-off with customer
  • Maintain Project Budget. Manage scope changes with Change Orders, and open Customer Care Orders (W orders) as needed
  • Complete progress reports to Director of Project Management weekly, and provide other project data as required
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Project Management

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Secondary education a plus.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a project management. Experience in the rack industry a plus
  • Working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the material handling industry
  • Project Management PMP Certification a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, and with other departments within the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Email, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%

Advance Storage Products is seeking a dynamic Plant Engineer to join the Advance Engineering Team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plans and designs manufacturing processes in plant including process control planning
  • Supports production with expertise and problem solving of product, design and assembly issues
  • Conducts root cause analysis and implementation of effective solutions
  • Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization. Proposes solutions to manufacturing problems
  • Determines and documents preferred manufacturing methods, approves changes to methods
  • Determines equipment, parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification
  • Must be able to communicate effectively across functional groups (e.g., other department supervisors and shop personnel)
  • Supports purchasing in the development of supply base and supply problem resolution
  • Has a hands on approach to quality problem solving and quality checks

Qualifications:

  • BA degree in related field required
  • 2+ years of experience in a metal fabrication and welding environment
  • Working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures with the metal fabrication industry
  • Working knowledge of safety principles and practices
  • Previous experience working with lean manufacturing principles
  • Working knowledge of quality control principles, including statistical methods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve problems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to positively influence change
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, AutoCAD a must)

Our company is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team!  You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our company.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accurately matching invoices to the packing slips/POD’s
  • Making sure that invoices are paid within guidelines and terms
  • Display flexibility to work and overtime as required
  • Match invoices to receivers
  • Enter valid invoices into Infor
  • Select invoices for payment that are within the guidelines provided by CFO or controller
  • Print approved weekly AP checks to vendors
  • Obtain check signatures
  • Match invoices to Check and mail
  • Posts expense reports that are being imported to Infor
  • Process Corporate Amex card every month, as well as, Amex cards that are paid thru AP
  • Process 1099’s for vendors A – 1 at the end of the year
  • Filing of invoices

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Accounting, Finance or other related fields
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Associates Degree minimum requirement
  • Min 3 years Manufacturing experience in AP
  • Experience using CRM system
  • Team Lead or Supervisory experienced highly desired

Advance Storage Products is looking for a dynamic maintenance manager to join the Advance Team!  This position will be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of our Cedartown facility.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure all safety requirements are met, and complies with all corporate policies and OSHA rules
  • Assist and supervise maintenance team in repairs, troubleshooting, and operations of all building and plant equipment
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions
  • Orders necessary equipment parts
  • Conducts regular inspections and ensures the upkeep and maintenance of all areas
  • Keeps a record of all day to day maintenance and service activities undertaken in the facility

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent working experience
  • Two or more years supervisory experience in a maintenance environment

  • Engineering of structural racking and structural components.
  • Design new products and custom parts and participate in new product development and engineering initiatives.
  • Assist with manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting, manuals development, documentation creation and testing activities for rack systems to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes and/or customer requirements.
  • Prepare bill of materials and specifications for projects, products, materials and/or equipment.
  • Support project design and production efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within established budget.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts for design to market speed, lean product development, value engineering and innovative designs.
  • Visit job sites for measurements, inspections, installer walk-thru’s and to assist with sales calls.
  • Perform other miscellaneous engineering duties as required and assigned by management.

 

Qualifications:

  • BSc. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or closely related field of study from an accredited college/university.  Professional Engineer (PE) strongly desired.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in product design and manufacturing.
  • Experience successfully working and interacting with customers, suppliers, engineers and other stakeholders at multi-levels of responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong system analysis, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Innovative, self-motivated and well organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration skills in a team environment are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, provide excellent attention to detail and be willing and able to learn new technologies, quickly.
