Rover automation system’s typically create 15-20% more storage capacity than a selective rack warehouse. | A Rover system’s throughput is only limited by the number of Rover vehicles and VRCs (lifts) in the system.
The integrated Rover automation system requires minimal maintenance during high throughput operations. Standard VRC and pallet conveyors are the only other material handling equipment in the system.
Cost per pallet is typically lower than traditional automation technologies. Minimal pallet conveyor supporting the system can lead to significant cost savings. Rover acts as a sorter versus a conveyor system. Simple infeed and non- powered outfeed conveyors also add savings.
